

Dr. Richard Pan is a pediatrician, educator, and former California State Senator who has built his career at the intersection of medicine and public policy. Known for leading major efforts such as expanding healthcare access, strengthening vaccine policy, advancing gun violence research, and securing public health funding, Dr. Pan brings his clinical perspective to legislative work aimed at improving community health. Now running for Congress, he continues his mission to bring “a little good medicine” to government and champion evidence-based, compassionate leadership.

Dr. Bruce Link is a Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Public Policy at UC Riverside and the co-developer of the Fundamental Cause Theory of Health. A leading epidemiologist and sociologist, he has held major academic roles at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. His work focuses on how social conditions shape health inequities and why addressing root causes is essential to improving population health.

Dr. Diana E. Ramos, California’s Surgeon General and the state’s leading public health spokesperson, is dedicated to improving mental health, reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences, and addressing maternal mortality. The first Latina to hold this role, she has led major statewide and national health initiatives and spent over 30 years providing reproductive care as an OB-GYN. Dr. Ramos holds an MD from USC, an MPH from UCLA, and an MBA from UC Irvine, and has been recognized with multiple public health leadership awards.
